Campfire Apple Pies
This recipe was developed in collaboration with @VeganMontréal , created by Angèle, a Montreal-based foodie and outdoor lover who decided to share her own experience with veganism and to show that vegan food can be Easy. Healthy. Tasty.
Ingredients
2 apples
2 tbsp almond butter @pranasnacks
¼ cup granola @pranasnacks

Pock a few small holes in your apples with a knife;

Roll the apples in aluminum foil;

Place the apple into hot coals (not flames);

After 5 minutes, turn the apples to let the other side cook;

After 5 more minutes the apples should be soft - depending on the kind and size of apples they might need a little extra;

Remove from the coals and let them cool until you can handle them;

Open the foil forming a small bowl around the apples, loosen the skin and add the almond butter and the granola on top;

Watch the granola's chocolate chunks melt and enjoy these easy, healthy and decadent CAMPFIRE APPLE PIES with a spoon.
TIP: You can use parchment paper to create a layer between the aluminum foil and the apple.
