½ cup almond pulp (leftover from homemade almond milk)
1 cup PRANA organic fair trade cane sugar
2-3 drops essential oils*
* It is not recommended to use essential oils more potent than 2%, for example orange, tangerine, lavender, tea tree oil, palmarosa... Pregnant women should not handle or use some essential oils.
Mix coconut oil with an electric hand mixer or by hand until smooth and creamy. Oil should be soft to the touch with a creamy texture. You may have to start by hand, careful the oil does not melt.
Add almond pulp, cane sugar and no more than 2-3 drops of an essential oil of your choice. Mix.
Pour scrub in a small resealable glass container. Store at room temperature, or in the refrigerator in hot weather. Do not ingest the scrub.
Note: The scrub will last about one week to 10 days maximum. After that, the almond pulp will begin to go rancid. If you wish to preserve this scrub for a longer time, chill or freeze the almond pulp, and add a small quantity to your daily scrub before using. The almond pulp can also be omitted entirely.
