Chia Fresca is a refreshing lemonade-like summer drink with added chia seeds. It's an excellent way to add chia to your diet. Hibiscus flowers are traditionally used in Bissap, a Senegalese tea. The flavour is exotically fruity.

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
  • 1L filtered water
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ cup lemon juice
  • 4 tbsp PRANA organic whole black ProactivChia seeds

Preparation

  1. Soak hibiscus flowers in water for one hour in order to infuse it. Filter water.
  2. In a large mason jar, add infused hibiscus water and pour in maple syrup, lemon juice and chia seeds. Let sit 30 minutes in the fridge, shaking vigourously every 5 minutes so that chia doesn't stick to bottom of jar. Serve cold.
