If you're tired of smoothies, but want the energy and nutrients they usually pack in, try this. You'll have to soak your buckwheat overnight, but then you simply follow the instructions and add your favorite fruits! Buckwheat is a nutritious grain that will give you plenty of fuel for your day.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup PRANA organic hulled buckwheat
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen raspberries
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • ½ to 1 cup almond milk
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 cup your choice of toppings: berries, chopped PRANA organic nuts, granola, PRANA organic goji berries, etc.

Preparation

  1. Soak buckwheat in water overnight. In the morning, rinse and drain.
  2. In a high-speed blender or food processor, mix soaked buckwheat, fruits, almond milk, vanilla and maple syrup until smooth, about 45 seconds to 1 minute. Adjust flavor to taste.
  3. Pour into individual serving bowls and sprinkle with your choice of fruit, chopped nuts, goji berries or other.
