This raw tomato sauce is typically served with "malawach", a traditional fried bread from Yemen made from thin layers of puff pastry (not the healthiest bread, but is it ever delicious!). This sauce is easy to make and surprisingly distinctive. Its acidity makes a tasty contrast to rich and creamy tahini sauce. Use it to add freshness and flavor to your table when serving Mediterranean dishes mezze-style.
