Gluten-free Apple and Pear Crisp

Ingredients
- 1 cup apples
- 1 cup pears
- 1/3 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/3 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 tbsp gluten-free all-purpose baking flour
- 1 tbsp vegan butter, melted
- 1/4 cup maple syrup, divided
- 1 tsp arrowroot powder
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp sea salt
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cut the fruit (without peeling) into strips and place in a baking dish.
- Add 2 tbsp of maple syrup, the arrowroot, ground cinnamon and salt to the fruit. Mix well.
- Place in preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, mix the oats, pecans, flour and melted vegan butter with the remaining maple syrup and a pinch of salt.
- Remove dish from oven and top with the oat mixture. Return to oven and bake for another 10 minutes.
- Remove from oven and let cool before serving.
- Can be topped with fresh fruit or vegan ice cream.
